Art History
Dating back to the 6th century B.C, Greek Classics describe the evil eye as a gaze believed to bring bad luck and misfortune that was rooted in a persons envy or dislike for another. As a form of protection, talismans were created to ward of the bad spirits. They came in various forms based on different tribes and cultures where they orginated from. The most familiar is the blue/white/black eye which is either worn as ornate jewelery or hung at the entrance of a home. Overall they all serve the same purpose to protect you from evil spirits.
